Cops probe Freeport street robbery
First Squad detectives are looking for a man who stole a pocketbook from a woman Sunday in Freeport, Nassau County police said.
A woman, 55, was walking on the east side of South Long Beach Road, south of Pine Street, at about 2:40 p.m. when she was approached by a man, police said.
He "forcibly removed" a pocketbook from the woman's shoulder then ran south, police said.
The pocketbook contained an undetermined amount of cash and personal papers, police said, and the woman sustained a shoulder injury.
