Two men armed with a stun gun broke into a Freeport home Sunday night, stealing a laptop computer and cell phone, Nassau County police said.

First squad detectives said the two men knocked on the door of a home on Babylon Turnpike at 5:55 p.m., scuffled with a 27-year-old male who answered the door and then bound him with his own shoelaces.

In the scuffle, the victim knocked a stun gun from the hands of one of his assailants, police said.

The men left with the electronics and a TV stand, police said, and the victim refused treatment for minor injuries.

When police arrived, other residents had returned home. One of the residents, Maureen Sullivan, 58, told officers she was in possession of an unlicensed .22 caliber handgun. She turned over the gun to police and was arrested.

Sullivan was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and was released on an appearance ticket, police said .

Anyone with information on the break-in is urged to call Crime Stoppers, 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
