Fifth Squad detectives are looking for two men who used a gun to rob a man walking to work early Friday in Valley Stream, Nassau County police said.

At about 6:23 a.m., the victim, 51, was walking on East Merrick Road when he was approached from behind by two other men, police said.

One man held a dark-colored handgun to the victim's head, demanding he hand over his cash and jewelry. The second man then reached into the victim's pockets, taking an unspecified amount of cash, a necklace, ring, a watch and a wallet, police said.

Both suspects then ran away, west on East Merrick Road, police said. No injuries were reported.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers, 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
