Nassau County police are trying to determine who shot two men from a moving car Sunday on Martin Luther King Drive in Hempstead.

Third Squad detectives said two men, ages 17 and 19, were standing in front of a house on Martin Luther King Drive at about 3:34 p.m. when a car, traveling south, passed them.

The car made a U-turn, and then several rounds of gunfire came from the car, hitting each man, police said.

The two victims were treated for their injuries at a nearby hospital and were in stable condition, police said.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
