Cops probe Hempstead gas station robbery
Detectives are investigating an early morning robbery Wednesday in which a man stole money from a 21-year-old gas station attendant in Hempstead, Nassau County police said.
The man entered the Shamrock Gas Station, 404 Clinton St., at 4:19 a.m., demanded money and fled on foot westbound on Lincoln Boulevard with an unknown amount of cash, said police who also indicated no injuries were reported.
The man is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall and wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black knit cap, black jeans and white sneakers, police said.
