Nassau police are investigating an early Sunday morning armed robbery of a Valley Stream convenience store.

A man armed with a black handgun went into a 7-Eleven store on Merrick Road at about 1:10 a.m. and approached the cash register, demanding money from the 22-year-old employee, police said.

The employee gave the man an unknown amount of money, after which the man ran away. There were no injuries.
