Cops probe how two men ended up wounded on driveway
Glen Cove police are trying to determine how two men ended up with head injuries in the driveway of a Ford Street home early Thursday.
Det. Lt. John Nagle said police responded to the home after receiving an emergency call at about 12:15 a.m. and found the men, 31 and 43, laying down in the driveway.
The younger man had injuries to the back of his head and was conscious; the older man had what looked like bad facial injuries and was semiconscious, Nagle said.
Both men were taken to a nearby hospital, where they remained later Thursday.
Nagle said police believe the two men are neighbors, however, he had no other information.
"We don't know what caused the injuries; we don't know who caused the injuries," he said.
Nagle said detectives plan to interview the men Thursday at the hospital to find out more about the case.
