Nassau County police are investigating a Lynbrook accident that they say caused a man to be thrown from his motorcycle Sunday morning.
The Valley Stream man, 52, was riding his 1995 Harley-Davidson eastbound on Peninsula Boulevard when he collided with an unidentified woman driving south on Charles Street in a 1995 Saturn sedan, police said.
The man suffered severe head and chest injuries in the crash, which happened at about 9 a.m. He and the woman, 40, as well as her passenger, were taken to a hospital, police said.
Both vehicles were impounded for brake and safety checks, officials said.
Police said there was no apparent criminality in the crash.
