Cops probe purse snatching in mall parking lot
Detectives are investigating a purse snatching Tuesday morning in a Massapequa shopping mall parking lot.
The 58-year-old victim was walking through the Sunrise Mall lot, at 850 Sunrise Hwy., when a man drove up to her in a newer model black sedan, leaned out of the driver's side window and grabbed her pocketbook, Nassau County police said.
The victim fell, hurting her hands and knees, police said. She was treated at the scene.
The man, who stole a cell phone and credit card, fled north through the lot, police said.
