Police are investigating the gunpoint robbery of a police delivery man Thursday night in Westbury.

The Domino's Pizza worker, 21, was robbed at 9:30 p.m. while trying to deliver pizza to a Rushmore Street address, Nassau County police said early Friday in a news release.

Then the delivery man arrived "he was motioned to walk over" to a man in the street, described as in his 20s with a thin build, wearing a black long-sleeved shirt.

A second male suspect, also in his 20s and with a thin build, "came out of the bushes and pointed a gun at the victim," police said in the release. The first suspect went through the victim's pockets and took an unknown amount of cash, police said.

The suspects "told the victim to run back to his car" before they fled in an unknown direction, police said.

The victim was not injured, police said.

Anyone with information about the crime is urged to anonymously call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
