Police are investigating the Monday morning robbery of a 14-year-old pedestrian in Elmont.

The male was walking on Dutch Broadway at 8:05 a.m., listening to music on his headphones, when he was approached by another male who demanded the headphones, Nassau police said in a news release.

"When the victim refused the subject removed them from his head and struck him in the face," police said in a news release. "The victim then ran and the subject fled . . ."

There were no injuries.

Detectives urge anyone with information to anonymously call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
