Police are investigating a street robbery in Manhasset early Tuesday in which three teenage pedestrians were robbed of their cellphones at gunpoint.

The male victims, two of them 18 and the other 17, were walking on Webster Avenue to a friend's house at midnight when they were approached by three males, one of them armed with a black handgun, Nassau County police said.

The suspects demanded the victims' cellphones, and the victims complied, police said. The robbers fled south on Plandome Road.

"The victims stated to investigating detectives that one subject had a beard, the second was wearing a black baseball hat and the third, who was armed with the handgun, had shoulder-length dread locks," police said in a news release.

Third Squad detectives urge anyone with information about the robbery to anonymously call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
