Cops probe shooting into Lakeview home

Police are searching for the shooter -- or shooters -- who fired gunshots into an occupied home on Jefferson Avenue in Lakeview late Monday.

Two females were inside the house at the time, Nassau County police said. Neither of the females were injured.

Police said the incident took place at about 11:40 p.m.

It was not clear how many shots were fired.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
