Cops probe shots fired in Massapequa
Police are trying to determine who fired at least two shots on a quiet Massapequa street early Sunday.
Nassau County police said they were called to a residence on Quail Run at 3:28 a.m. Sunday by a homeowner who said she heard gunshots outside the house following a get-together with friends. The complainant stated "she had a few friends over and as they began to leave, they heard a gunshot in front of the location," police said in a Monday morning news release.
Police said they located two shell casings on the sidewalk.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
