Cops probe shots fired in Uniondale
First Squad detectives are investigating a Friday morning shooting incident in Uniondale, Nassau County police said.
Police were alerted through the ShotSpotter system, which pinpoints the sound of gunfire with sensors.
The system detected shots fired at the intersection of Cedar Street and Duryea Avenue at about 12:16 a.m., the First Precinct said. When officers arrived at the scene, they found eight shell casings in the street.
Police said there apparently are no victims but investigators are still gathering information.
