Police are searching for the occupants of a dark-colored four-door sedan, at least one of whom fired shots into an occupied home in Roosevelt early Friday.

The shooting occurred on John Street just before 3:40 a.m., Nassau County police said. Police said officers were alerted to the shots-fired by a ShotSpotter gun detection system call -- and said there were four people inside the house when "several rounds" were fired into it.

No one was injured.

Police said that immediately after the shooting, the dark-colored sedan was seen fleeing northbound on John Street.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All call will be kept confidential.
