Cops probe slashing near train station
Nassau County police are looking for three men they say assaulted a 34-year-old man near the Hicksville train station early Monday.
The victim, who was on his way home from the train station, was walking through a private parking lot behind 55 Broadway at about 1:15 a.m. when three men approached him, police said. One of the aggressors pulled out a knife and slashed the victim in his left arm and hand.
The victim was later taken by police ambulance to a hospital where he was treated for cuts.
Police ask that anyone with information about the assault call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. Calls will remain confidential, police said.
