Cops probe stabbing of teen in Freeport

Nassau County police are investigating a Freeport stabbing Thursday night that left a 17-year-old with undisclosed wounds, a department spokesman said.
At about 9:30 p.m., police said a disturbance near North Columbus Avenue and Independence Avenue led to the stabbing of a single victim. The youth was transported to an area hospital for nonlife-threatening injuries, the spokesman said.
No other injuries were reported.
Further details were not immediately available. The incident is under investigation.
