Nassau County police are asking for help in tracking down the person or people who defaced a footbridge over the Wantagh Parkway with swastikas and other graffiti.

Officers from the Seventh Precinct discovered the graffiti Thursday night on the footbridge near Beltagh Avenue in Wantagh, Nassau County police said.

Three swastikas and an obscenity were painted in red on one side; on the far side were the words: "We are united. We are legion. We do not forgive. We never forget," police said.

Detectives asked anyone with information about the incident to call Nassau Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will remain anonymous, police said.
