Two men, one armed with a black handgun, robbed a 7-Eleven store at a gas station in West Hempstead late Wednesday, Nassau County police said.

Police said the two men entered the store through an open side door and ordered both employees to the ground at gunpoint, then robbed the store of cash before fleeing.

The robbery at the store in the 800 block of Hempstead Turnpike occurred at 11:10 p.m.

Police said no one was injured. The robbers wore black hoodies and masks.

Police could not immediately say if the robbery was linked to similar recent robberies in Baldwin and Merrick, but are asking that anyone with information regarding to incident call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
