Officers responding to a 911 call reporting an abduction stormed a house in Baldwin Monday morning, but they did not find a victim inside, police said.

The investigation is continuing, Nassau County police said.

For now police are calling the situation "unfounded."

The 911 call, made at 7:11 a.m., came from a woman who told the emergency operator she had been abducted -- and was being held inside a house on Berkley Street. Bureau of Special Operations officers, as well as Emergency Services officers, were sent to the home, near Lenox Road.

Police said that when Bureau of Special Operations officers entered the home they found five people inside but no victim, no signs of anything suspicious.

"There were negative results," a police spokeswoman said, adding it was not clear if the call was a hoax.
