Two men face weapons charges after Nassau County police responding Wednesday to a call for shots fired in Roosevelt found them driving with two handguns.

Anthony Morris, 51, of 111 Mockingbird Lane, Brentwood, and Rohan Golding, 41, of 250 Francis Lewis Blvd., Rosedale, Queens, are charged with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and one count of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

Golding also is charged with a second count of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

They are scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.

First Precinct officers responded to a ShotSpotter call near the 70 block of East Greenwich Avenue at about 9:43 p.m.

A witness gave police a description of a vehicle that was in the area around the time of the shots being fired, and the description was broadcast to officers in the area.

A vehicle matching the description was stopped at Debevoise Avenue and Nassau Road, and an investigation recovered two handguns, police said. Morris was driving, and Golding was a passenger.

Police said it is unknown whether the two men are involved in the initial ShotSpotter call. The investigation is ongoing.
