Two people riding in a Jeep stopped two boys - one 11, the other 12 - riding their bikes in Bellmore Thursday night and asked them is they'd like to have some beer, police said.

The boys said no, and the couple in the Jeep - one male, one female - fled.

Now police are searching for them, trying to resolve what they called "an unusual incident." They're asking anyone with information to contact Nassau County police Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.

All calls will remain confidential, police said.

The incident took place on Park Place at about 10:05 p.m., police said. The Jeep had New York license plates and fled westbound on Hicks Street.
