Pickup driver sought in Hicksville hit-and-run that injured pedestrian
Nassau County police are searching for the driver of a late-model pickup truck who struck a 60-year-old man in a Hicksville parking lot late Thursday night, then fled the scene.
Detectives from Nassau's Second Squad said the dark-colored truck entered the parking lot of a strip mall at 370 Old Country Rd. at 11:15 p.m. and hit a pedestrian.
The truck, which police said has possible damage to the rear quarter panel and rear end, then hit a parked car before exiting the parking lot heading east on Old Country Road.
The victim suffered a head injury and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Detectives ask anyone with information about this incident to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain anonymous.
