Cops seek gunman in sandwich shop robbery
Police are searching for a gunman who robbed a sandwich shop 10 days ago in Franklin Square.
The robbery occurred at the Subway on Franklin Avenue just before 8 p.m. on Oct. 15, Nassau County police said.
The gunman, described as 5-foot-10 with a stocky build, salt-and-pepper beard and in his 40s or early 50s, entered the store wearing a dark blue North Face hoodie-style sweatshirt, dark pants and red and black gloves, police said.
Police said he flashed a dark handgun, demanded cash from the two women behind the counter -- and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
