Cops seek help finding driver who hit boy and fled
Two months after a 10-year-old boy was injured crossing North Long Beach Road in a hit-and-run accident in Rockville Centre, police are still searching for the driver - and are asking your help locating her.
Nassau County police said they believe a woman, between the age of 40 and 50, was driving the white minivan that hit the boy at about 6 p.m. on Nov. 20.
The boy was hit as he crossed N. Long Beach Road from Graystone Street to Monroe Street, police said.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
Police said the boy suffered injuries to his right arm and leg in the crash.
