Nassau police want the public's help in nabbing a hooded gunman who robbed people at two gas stations within 35 minutes last month.

On Jan. 26, he first demanded money about 5:45 p.m. at the BP station on Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park, then struck again at 6:20 p.m. at the BP station on Northern Boulevard in Thomaston, police said. He ran off after the robberies, police said.

Police on Thursday released video images of the robber. He had a stocky build, was about 5-foot-8 and wore a black-hooded sweatshirt, police said.

A Crime Stoppers reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for his arrest and conviction. Police ask anyone with information to call 800-244-TIPS.
