Cops seek Hicksville bank robber
Nassau County's Robbery Squad is looking for a man who robbed a Hicksville bank Thursday.
In a news release, Nassau police said the man entered the Atlantic Bank, 265 N. Broadway, about 9:53 a.m. and gave the teller a note demanding cash.
The teller complied and the man left with an undetermined amount of cash, police said. He was last seen in a silver car, heading southeast on Bethpage Road.
The man was wearing a dark baseball cap and a white cloth covering his nose and mouth, police said.
At the time of the robbery, eight employees were in the bank. One teller twisted an ankle and was taken to a nearby hospital, police said, although they did not disclose how the teller was injured.
Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers, 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
