Police are searching for an armed man suspected of robbing a gas station in Jericho late Sunday. No one was injured in the robbery.

Nassau police said the incident took place around 10:30 p.m., when a man walked into the Gulf station at 98 Jericho Tpke., displayed a black handgun, and told the station clerk to lock the doors and turn out the lights. The suspect also demanded cash. Police said the clerk complied and the robber took the money and fled.

It was not clear how much money was taken.

Police said the robber is about 6 feet tall with a thin build and was wearing a Halloween-style skull mask, a dark hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain anonymous, police said.
