Cops seek masked gunman in Westbury gas station robbery

A masked gunman stole money and cigarettes from a Westbury gas station Monday night and ran off, Nassau police said Tuesday.

Armed with silver handgun, the robber made his demands to an employee of the Hess gas station on Old Country Road just before 9:15 p.m., police said.

No injuries were reported and no customers were there at the time, police said.

The suspect appeared to be about 6 feet tall, had a thin build and wore dark clothing, police said.
