Police are searching for a suspect caught on surveillance video during the robbery of a Chase Bank branch in Elmont last Thursday. The suspect, a male described as 6 feet tall, is wearing a black coat, jeans and a Yankees baseball cap.

The robbery occurred at the bank on Linden Boulevard about 5:30 p.m. The suspect entered, handed a teller a note demanding cash and received money before fleeing, according to detectives in the Nassau County police Major Case Bureau. Police did not say how much cash was stolen.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Nassau Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS or the robbery squad at 516-573-8040. All calls will be kept confidential.
