A man wearing sunglasses and carrying a note demanding money robbed a Chase bank in Farmingdale on Friday morning, police said.

Nassau County Police said the man fled after a teller at the bank, at 334 Main St., complied with his demands just after 11 a.m.

Police described the suspect as 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 and wearing a black button shirt, black tie, white pants, light-colored hat and sunglasses.

Six employees and two customers were in the bank at the time, police said, but no injuries were reported and the man did not display a weapon.

Detectives ask anyone with information on the crime to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
