Cops seek suspect in Island Park jewelry theft

Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County police are looking for a man suspected of stealing a diamond broach from an Island Park jewelry store last month.

Police on Tuesday released photographs of the suspect taken from video surveillance at Saatchi & Saatchi Jewelry at 4545 Austin Blvd.

At about 2:50 p.m. on June 15, police said the suspect took a diamond butterfly broach from the store without paying for it. The suspect fled in an unknown direction, police said.

Police did not provide a retail price for item taken.
