Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department are seeking the public's help in identifying this woman who they say cashed a bad check for $3,700 at a Bank of America at 227 Mineola Blvd. in Mineola. Credit: NCPD

Crime Stoppers and Nassau County police said Tuesday they are looking for a woman who cashed a bad check worth more $3,700 at a Mineola bank in August.

Police released a photograph of the suspect, a woman, taken from video surveillance at the Bank of America at 227 Mineola Blvd. The suspect "fraudulently cashed" a check for $3,726.35 at about 10 a.m. on Aug. 24, police said.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers, 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
