Cops seek suspect who robbed Baldwin woman in her driveway
First squad detectives are looking for a man who robbed a woman Saturday night in the driveway of her Baldwin home, Nassau County police said.
At about 11 p.m., the woman, 49, parked her car in her driveway and was approached from behind by a man who grabbed her pocketbook, police said.
The woman struggled but was overpowered, police said, and the man fled, entering the front passenger side of an older-model, dark-gray, four-door sports car with dull paint.
Police said the car drove off, traveling north on Milburn Avenue.
The woman was not injured, police said, and items in the pocketbook included a small amount of cash and some personal papers.
Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers, 800-244-8477. All callers will remain anonymous.
