Nassau police are looking for a woman they say walked into a Massapequa Park bank, handed the teller a fraudulent New Jersey driver's license and withdrew $4,000 from the victim's savings account. (Oct. 8, 2011) Credit: NCPD

Detectives are searching for -- and seeking the public's help in catching -- a woman who walked into a Massapequa Park bank, handed the teller a fraudulent New Jersey driver's license and withdrew $4,000 from the victim's savings account, police said.

The incident occurred at the Citibank branch on Merrick Road at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8.

Nassau County police said surveillance cameras captured the illicit transaction.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the crime to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
