Nassau County police are searching for a burglar who broke into a home in Seaford Thursday night and ran after the home's resident screamed.

Police said the homeowner, a 62-year-old man, was upstairs in his bed at his home on William Street, when the burglar "entered his room."

The man screamed, police said. The suspect fled.

Police said an investigation revealed a side door and a rear door at the home both had pry marks on them. Nothing was reported stolen, however.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
