Cops: Shot fired into Hempstead home; no injuries
A shot was fired into an occupied Hempstead home early Sunday morning, causing no injuries, Nassau County police said.
The incident occurred about 12:30 a.m. on Baldwin Road, police said.
Police said four members of a family were home at the time -- a 39-year-old woman, two men, ages 38 and 20, and a 15-year-old girl.
The family heard a loud noise and discovered that a bullet had hit a picture on the wall in the kitchen, police said.
The two men left the house to investigate and saw a black vehicle driving north on Baldwin Road, and two men in white T-shirts running toward Windsor Parkway, police said.
Police said anyone with information to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
