Levittown man behind the wheel of a box truck speeding through Mineola was arrested Sunday after he hit one car, knocking it onto a lawn, and then a few blocks away hit a parked police car, Nassau County police said.

Both the officer and the driver of the other car were treated and released from the hospital.

Police said when found a gravity knife on the driver, Jorge Urias, 24, when he was arrested.

Urias was driving a 2003 Isuzu box truck north on Roslyn Road at a high rate of speed about 12:40 p.m. Saturday when he hit a 2009 Volkswagen at the intersection of Westbury Avenue, police said.

The Volkswagen skidded onto a nearby lawn and Urias continued north on Roslyn Road, then took a sharp left turn and hit the parked police car from the Third Precinct that was on an unrelated assignment, police said.

Urias was charged with assault, reckless endangerment and what police called "multiple NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law violations," police said
