The manager of a Freeport CVS store is accused of stealing more than $40,000 from the store, authorities said.

Scott Crafa, 42, of West Islip, was arrested Tuesday afternoon at the Atlantic Avenue business and charged with grand larceny, police said.

He was released on his own recognizance following his arraignment Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead. He is due back in court Friday.

Nassau police said Crafa failed to make the store's bank deposits between March 26 and March 30.

The investigation was conducted by the Freeport Police Department, with help from Nassau detectives, police said.
