Cops: Suspect sought in Elmont cellphone store burglary

Nassau police are investigating the burglary of a cellphone store in Elmont last week in which a suspect was captured on a surveillance camera swiping cash and phones.
The burglary was discovered on the morning of May 20 as a male employee arrived at the Metro PCS on Dutch Broadway to open the store for businesses.
The employee discovered the front door unlocked, and money from the cash register and an assortment of phones were missing, police said.
A surveillance tape shows a man believed to be in his mid 20s inside the store at 3:50 a.m., wearing a blue-hooded sweatshirt with "Yokosuka" on the back.
Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
