Little by little over three months a housekeeper stole cash from a Syosset home where she worked, police said. On Friday, police said, the homeowners caught her stealing and notified police.

Martha Munoz, 63, of 90-22 161st St., Jamaica, had taken more than $3,000 in cash -- stolen in small increments beginning in May -- from the home on Pelican Court, police said.

Munoz was arrested and charged with third degree grand larceny. She was to be arraigned Saturday in First District Court, Hempstead.
