A 16-year-old boy sitting in front of his home in Freeport late Sunday afternoon was attacked by two men, believed to be teenagers, who punched him in the face, stole his iPhone and fled, police said.

Nassau County police said the victim suffered a minor cut to his lip.

The robbery occurred just before 5 p.m. on Evans Avenue.

Police said the victim was holding the phone in his hand when he was attacked.

One of the suspects was wearing a gray tank top and yellow and black Air Jordan sneakers, police said. It was not clear what type of clothing the second suspect was wearing.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
