A teenager is in critical condition after being ejected from a car during an accident in Massapequa Tuesday night, police said.

According to police, a Honda driven by a 25-year-old woman eastbound on Merrick Road collided with another car -- a Toyota -- making a left onto Roosevelt Boulevard at 8:47 p.m. Both cars then crashed into other vehicles and an 18-year-old male passenger seated in the rear of the Toyota was ejected onto the road. The man was taken to a local hospital with severe head trauma and is listed in critical condition, police said.

Police did not identify the 18-year-old male or the 25-year-old female in the accident.

The woman was hospitalized with neck, back and arm injuries and listed in stable condition. No other injuries were reported and detectives said there was no criminality involved in the accident.
