Cops: Teen driver killed in Southern crash
State Police were investigating a single-car crash early Wednesday on the Southern State Parkway in Lakeview that killed the driver, an Elmont teenager.
A police spokesman said Nasir Rivera, 16, was driving west on the parkway, west of Exit 18, Eagle Avenue, at about 12:30 a.m. when his car, a 1998 Acura, left the roadway, striking a tree.
Police said Rivera was driving alone.
They also said that they had no additional information about the accident.
