The driver of this SUV was injured after she lost control of the vehicle while heading southbound on Herricks Road in Mineola. A car driven by a 19-year-old woman went off the road and crashed into a house near Herricks and White roads in Mineola about 4:50 p.m., Nassau police said.

The teenager was taken to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries, police said, adding that no one in the house was injured. Area roadways were closed for about an hour and a half after the accident, police said. No charges were filed.
