Cops: Teen fired shotgun in Massapequa Preserve
A North Massapequa man was arrested Thursday after admitting he fired his shotgun in the Massapequa Preserve, not far from a residential area, Nassau County police said.
Ryan McDonough, 19, was arrested after police, responding to a call of shots being fired at 12 a.m., saw him leaving the preserve at North Linden Street, said police, who recovered the gun and four rounds of ammunition.
McDonough, charged with second-degree reckless endangerment and prohibited use of a dangerous weapon, was scheduled for arraignment Thursday in First District Court, Hempstead.
