Cops: Teen's headphones stolen in Uniondale
A 15-year-old boy, walking along a street in Uniondale, was robbed of his Dr. Dre Beats headphones Thursday by three unknown assailants who fled the scene on foot, police said.
Nassau County police said that during the robbery, one of the suspects "struck the victim in the head" -- knocking him to the ground. The teen, whose identity was not released, was not seriously injured, police said.
Police said the robbery occurred on Pembroke Street near Manor Parkway about 6:40 p.m. They said they are still looking for the assailants, who were last seen fleeing south on Ruxton Street.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
