Nassau County detectives are seeking information on a robbery Thursday in Elmont in which police say a man wielding a baseball bat demanded a teen hand over his silver chain.

The 15-year-old male was walking on Bedford Avenue at 9:30 p.m. when a man -- described as about 25 years old, 6 feet tall, 165 pounds, with an eyebrow ring and wearing a baseball cap -- got out of an older-model gray Nissan, got a baseball bat from the trunk, and demanded the chain, police said.

A second man -- described as about 25 years old, 5-foot-9 and 210 pounds with facial hair and wearing a white T-shirt and jeans -- exited the passenger side of the Nissan and leaned against it.

The teenager complied, police said, and the two men got back in the Nissan and drove north on Bedford Avenue.

Anyone with information is asked to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers anonymously at 800-244-TIPS.
