Cops: Teen stabbed, seriously hurt

A 15-year-old is in serious but stable condition, police said, after he was surrounded by a group of men Monday afternoon in Hempstead and stabbed in the abdomen.
The teenager ran from the scene and collapsed several yards away near 290 Peninsula Blvd., police said. He was taken by police ambulance to a hospital where he underwent surgery, police said. No arrests have been made.
